Meet Alec
Psychotherapist in London (E4) & Online

I specialise in helping individuals and groups heal from relational and childhood trauma. Here, you can learn more about me, The Healing Childhood Trauma Podcast, and how I support people on their journeys toward healing and growth.

Therapy Services for Healing Relational & Childhood Trauma

Trauma isn’t just “in your head” – it lives in the body, nervous system, and the stories we carry.

Many traditional therapy models target only one part of our experience. I work integratively, using a holistic approach that recognises the importance of healing across emotional, physical, and relational dimensions.

I work with adults (18+) individually, facilitate groups, and run online programmes designed to help people heal and grow from relational trauma.

Individual Therapy for Trauma Healing

In individual therapy, we’ll work together to understand how past experiences may still be shaping the way you think, feel, and relate to others. Through this process, you can begin to acknowledge and heal old wounds, allowing you to live in a more grounded, authentic way – free from trauma-led patterns.

Group Therapy and Men’s Groups

Groups provide a safe, supportive environment where participants can connect, share experiences, and offer encouragement and accountability.

They also allow exploration of relational patterns, insights into group dynamics, and opportunities to experiment with new ways of connecting in a relational space.

Online Trauma Programmes

Online programmes offer a structured, time-bound space where individuals engage with a group and are guided through a step-by-step process for building resources, insights, and practical strategies to address current challenges.

See if I Can Help You

“Working with Alec to address issues which were having a significant impact on my mental health has been hugely beneficial. The environment he creates during sessions – open, non-judgemental and centred on self-compassion – enabled me to talk about things I have felt shameful about for a long period of time, and I feel like a large weight has been lifted. He also helped me to identify the reasons for some deeper-rooted anxieties and to explore a range of approaches to overcome them. I am so grateful to Alec – I feel so much lighter due to his support and am now able to treat myself with far more kindness.”

“Alec is kind and compassionate, and a non-judgemental listener. He exudes a calm and peaceful energy. Working with him has been a really valuable and helpful part of my life over the past year, he made me feel like I wasn’t alone and that we were working through problems together, and he was always on my team. As a man, it’s sometimes not very easy to cry, especially in front of others, but Alec created a space in which I was able to do so freely.”

‘After many years of refusing to even consider therapy, I finally – and somewhat reluctantly – decided to give it a try. From my very first session with Alec, his calm and non-judgemental presence immediately put me at ease and made it possible to open up about things I never realised I needed to explore.

As the months went by, I often found myself thinking, “What would Alec say?” whenever life threw its challenges my way. His thoughtful guidance and gentle perspective have stayed with me long after each session ended.

Therapy with Alec has helped me to recognise and challenge my negative thought patterns, and to approach each day with a little more kindness, balance, and positivity.
Thank you, Alec – you have truly made a lasting difference in how I see myself.’

He particularly helped me with the exploration of my formative years and how they still impact my day to day, influencing my decisions and reactions to certain situations. “I would highly recommend working with Alec. I was very nervous at the thought of engaging in therapy, having suffered from anxiety and traits of OCD all my life. With Alec’s help and support he has really enabled me to better understand how my mind works and taught me some really great mechanisms to help cope and in a lot of cases overcome certain anxious or OCD moments. Thanks again to Alec for his time over the past year!”
