In individual therapy, we’ll work together to understand how past experiences may still be shaping the way you think, feel, and relate to others. Together, we’ll make sense of old patterns and survival responses with compassion and curiosity, so that you can begin to move towards new and more fulfilling ways of being in the world.

Getting Started

I work with adults (18+) on an individual basis.

As a starting point, I usually offer a free informal consultation by telephone or online to explore your situation, get a feel for what it may be like to work together, discuss mutual availability, and to answer any preliminary questions you might have. This is always an open conversation with no expectation or obligation to work together.

The next step would be to arrange one or two initial sessions, to think further about what you want to get from therapy. It also provides me with a sense of the present challenges in your life and an opportunity to recommend the appropriate type of psychological treatment in circumstances where once-weekly psychotherapy might not be helpful.

We might decide to work together for a fixed amount of time or on an open-ended basis, depending on what we feel would be most helpful. Sessions run for 50 minutes.

Areas of Specialism in Trauma Therapy

Areas that I specialise in include: developmental, attachment & relational trauma, addiction, sexual issues, intimacy and relational challenges, identity, sense of self, self-confidence, meaning & purpose, nervous system dysregulation resulting in chronic patterns of anxiety and overwhelm, self harm and OCD behaviours.

I also support people with:

  • Depression, shut down and dissociation
  • Sexuality, LGBTQI+, and exploration of polyamory and open relationships
  • Reflection and integration of psychedelic experiences
  • Low self esteem, overthinking and intrusive thoughts.

Fees:
£80 for a 50 minute session.
